I am considering applying for the US Bank Altitude Connect card since it’s the only free card with Priority Pass. I have 4 travels planned over the next 18 months, so Im thinking it would be a good way to test how much I value the perk for future consideration if I decide to get a more premium travel card. Current setup is CSP and Fidelity Visa, I have an electric vehicle with free charging so gas/EV multiplier wouldn’t be utilized. I would be putting 0 spend on this card and solely using it for free priority pass, is there any real reason I shouldn’t do this?

Am I dumb to get US Bank Altitude Connect and not use it?

    1. Also the $100 credit for TSA or GE (pay $20 out of pockets).

Just like any other CCs consider: 5/24, the hard pull, new account, and the lowering of your AAoA. If this is fine to you, then go ahead and get it to enjoy the benefits.

If you put zero spend on the card, I’d be concerned that it may be closed for non use.

    3. No, the 4 priority passes can be useful, has a decent SUB and it’s a $0 annual fee card

    4. DontForgetTheTime on

The new Chime Prime secured credit card offers 2 Priority pass visits as well and doesn’t have an annual fee just btw. Also has a 5% category.

I have that and the US Bank Connect

U.S. Bank will likely close the card for inactivity if you put 0 spend on it. Definitely put enough spend on it to achieve the SUB then put a small subscription on the card to keep it active.
