Not event sure why I am writing this.
Its about 11pm and I wish I could sleep.
Today was a weird day.
Positive stuff happened in the morning and a shit show for an afternoon.
3 app crashes/errors: 2 due to network issues, 1 due to an recurring unresolved ticket with iOS.
All handled with a message to the user but yet the user couldn't complete their journey as intended.
Very little to do with me. And I think this is the main problem: I have zero control over these issues but my product is first in line for the blame.
I emailed each users explaining the problem and they seemed to understand. Yet, I can't help but think this is going to hit me at some point.
Overall the debugging took me the entire day (I had to drive to a site, as we have some hardware). I spent a day doing very little but understanding where the problems came from to realise I couldn't do anything about it.
Really hate these unproductive days. No sales, no improvements made. Pure waste time.
For context : I run a b2b pilot with a few corporate customers. They are already hard to find for the state we are at, I cannot afford to lose them.
