At fault party’s insurance adjuster called me in regard to my injuries (back and head pain due to my body being lunged over at the time of impact) and damage to my car. I kept my story concise and clear, I told the insurance adjuster that “I was traveling down a single lane road, the other party’s car had no lights/blinker on and was idle in the right side parallel parking lane/bike lane. Other party made a left into my back passenger side and front passenger side. My car lunged forward and ended up in a more forward position due to impact”. I let the adjuster know that I gave my insurance all the photos of my car, photos of the street, and a scanned copy of the police report number. The adjuster was kind, asked me what I would like out of this situation and I said my car fixed, rental, and any costs covered that I incurred from this accident. The adjuster asked where is my car, I told him the exact body shop it was at. The adjuster said he only contacted my insurance to make sure that I had coverage b/c when you pursue a bodily injury claim, both sides have to have insurance (not sure if that’s true or not). Adjuster also said he hasn’t been able to reach the other party, he said this case should be resolved no longer than 30 days. This is my first accident so not sure if I did well but hopefully I didn’t screw anything up. The call only lasted 13 min, he didn’t have any pressing questions for me. I hope this means that he knows his insurer was in the wrong.

Update: At Fault’s Party’s Insurance Adjuster Called me and I took y’all’s advice. Thank you guys!

tfw the other party’s insurance gets more cooperation from you than the people they are insuring.

It sounds like, that if they don’t contact their insured, within 30 days, then they will deny the claim, since they can’t reach their insured.
