Car was totaled 2 weeks ago. I signed the papers giving my car over to insurance thursday; got my check right after. It's been 5 days and my lien holder hasn't received theirs yet. What's the hold up? They charged me for my car payment still and I really don't want to get charged again next month.

Could take weeks. Keep making regular payments unless you want your credit dinged. If the insurance company ends up paying more than the actual balance due on the note, you will receive a refund from your lender.
