My dentist billed my primary for 1,400 and then billed my secondary for 1,400 as well… I thought whatever my primary didn’t cover they would send to my secondary? My primary covered a majority and then I was said to owe $300 but my secondary paid over $300 so why I do owe? He just doubled profit on my bill from both of them and I still owe?
Why did my dentist billed my primary and secondary the same bill?

Did you ask the dentist?
I work for health insurance. At least for medical claims, the same charge amount is sent to both insurance companies. The provider will send an eob of what the primary insurance paid with the claim. The secondary won’t necessarily pick up what is left over all the time but it all depends on how they coordinate benefits. Dental claims may work the same way. What does your responsibility say on the eob of the secondary?
