Southwest 2-year CP with multiple cards

Heyo, I'm looking at trying to get the 2 years of CP from SW signups by getting the Perfomance Business and the Personal Plus card in November, hitting the spend requirement early January. The SUBs and spend points should put me at the 135k required for the CP.

Question I have is since the points are on two different accounts how do they get merged together? Or is it just that they're both pointing to your SW account? Do I do this with both cards under my name or can I put one in my name and one in the wife's?

Am I missing anything else with this? Any gotchyas, like apply in specific order?
