You know, this one where the trick worked for a week and probably thousands of people here signed up for it. Or just the general wait list. I'd wager the vast majority (75%+) are frequently using the card, but just curious. However, I do see a lot of "I got off the RH Gold waitlist should I do it" posts so you do have a lot people who aren't sure themselves.
For me, the uniqueness of the BofA CCR Online Shopping and USB Kroger cards cover a lot of cases I'd normally use a catch-all type card. I guess you could say it's at least a hedge against future nerfs, assuming RH Gold itself doesnt get nerfed.
Another angle, which doesn't apply to me personally, is this trick was back in October and Bilt 2.0 came out the following February.
I had some home HVAC work done where I used the card because they didn't do online or mobile wallet, but I didn't realize I could have just mid-month swapped my BofA CCR to Home Improvement, which actually covers contractors, if the MCC is right.
Anyone else "FOMO" into the RH Gold and barely use it? (ie: wait list, or CK trick 6 months ago)

Nope. It’s my misc. workhorse. And it’d get even more spend if they weren’t so ham fisted about certain charges. For instance I’ve heard of cases where any government charge was tagged as “taxes” so I’m probably not putting my car tabs on it. Same with some fees from a class I’m taking because it’s technically charged by a college.
I suspect a lot of the people hesitant are either Team Travel worrying about it monopolizing this misc. spend, and people not comfortable with any kind of AFs. Both somewhat reasonable.
I vastly prefer my BILT Palladium’s 3.33x on all spend, so I’m glad I didn’t get FOMO’d into RH Gold.
Anytime I am not getting chasing a bonus or 5x points or 3x points, I am using it. So no I use it a lot
