My child is going to need some dental work done, less than $2,000, I've been recommended the Care Credit card but looking into it I see a lot of negative experiences so I'm hesitant- also considering trying to find a credit card with some sort of deal instead? Would appreciate any insight either way.

care credit can be tricky with the deferred interest thing – if you don’t pay it off in time you get hit with all the interest from day one, not just going forward

I used CareCredit for my Invisalign and my daughter’s vision therapy. No issues with either payment plan, just pay ahead of the due date to make sure you don’t violate the terms.

I use care credit all the time for dental work and vet bills and have never had any issues. Just be very mindful of the 0 APR promo period, pay at least minimum balance during promo, and pay the entire balance in full before the promo period ends and you won’t have to pay any interest. The app shows you the balance and when the promo period ends (and they’ll be different for each bill).
