Anyone else into shiny? Tickers around silver, gold, and platinum are welcome.
Been watching metals pretty closely this year with how bullion’s been moving. Kitco pricing is just a submarket but I think with the volatility, government buying, continent delays in supply – feels like there might be some opportunities to buy into listed companies/etfs.
For silver, after like 4+ months of waiting I finally bought some $AG today under $19. Felt like buying constitutional at like 35x face value, and I'll buy as much as I can around this level. I think $30+ by EOY is very realistic as that aligns with the resistances needed to support the next level for silver at what everyone expects to be around $90-95 oz, and from there it will probably stagnant for a bit.
Generally not big on ETFs, but I may be adding these two after the recent pullback in the metals. Both of these are physically backed, but beyond them I'd love to hear more opinions:
$AAAU (gold, Goldman), Low expense ratio is important as I do have a long time horizon.
$PPLT (platinum, Aberdeen), I like having a little extra outside exposure beyond gold/silver, top holdings are not disclosed but low dilution and still a lot of futures to figure out that could ultimately slingshot this metal to some insane peaks in the next few years.. To me, it's kinda like Ethereum in its early stages of recognition riding some of the wave bitcoin had already had paved, spiking crazy before the market finally just accepted it as another bitcoin, just not bitcoin.
precious metals stocks.. miners refineries etfs etc..
