I’ll be flying on a few 2-4 day trips this year and I’m looking for recommendations for cordless vacuums and bags to stuff as many clothes as I can in a backpack so that I don’t have to pay a carry-on fee. I’ve made 2-3 day trips work before without a vacuum, but a 4 day trip is definitely pushing it.
I’ve seen a bunch of vacs with long bags that are made for suitcases, but not many that are used to fit in backpacks. Let me know !

r/onebag might be the better sub to ask.
Just search for small vacuum seal bags. It’s a very common product.
You don’t need a fancy system. If the bag has a valve seal you can use any vacuum or your mouth to suck the air out.
I have been doing carry-on only trips for years. FYI vacuum bags for a backpack get stiff and weird shaped. Skip ‘em, honestly. Roll-up compression cubes (like the Eagle Creek ones) are much more flexible and still save a ton of space. For 4 days I take: 4 underwear, 3 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of shorts. Works like a charm.
