I honestly thought I got scammed.

I hired a freelancer named Aftab Ahmad on Fiverr to build a custom dashboard for my social media marketing agency. We agreed on a specific set of features, and I was very clear about what I needed.

When he delivered the dashboard, my first reaction was frustration. It didn’t look exactly like what I had in mind, and I assumed he hadn’t followed the requirements properly.

But after spending some time actually using it, I realized something not only had he included the features I asked for, but he had also added several extra features that we never even discussed.

At first, I thought those additions were unnecessary, but they turned out to be genuinely useful and actually improved the overall performance of the dashboard.

So yeah, my first impression was completely off. Instead of underdelivering, he actually went beyond the scope and added more value than expected.

Just a reminder that sometimes you need to fully test something before judging it too quickly
