See title!!! I was on the SAVE plan. I’ve called 4 separate times asking to be put in standard repayment. Each time they’ve put in an application for the wrong program. I’m talking IDR, IBR, Contingent, etc. You name it, they’ve applied me for it.
I’ve decided to refinance because of these issues. Yesterday I called to request a payoff amount for one of my loans. I was told it’d be sent via email (which the agent spelled wrong 4 times), still hadn’t received anything today.
Just called and was told it’s being MAILED! And when I explained the issue, asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told he could “solve all my issues”. I pushed to speak to a supervisor, I mean like a little full Karen moment, and instead I was transferred to a survey and then hung up on. You cannot make this up. The customer service is actually horrible.

A rep at aidvantage gave me a hard time when I tried switching plans bc my payment was too high. They repeatedly told me there was no benefit to change. Um hello the benefit is that I will be able to pay my loan and my rent with the lower payment 🙄
