Tornado Cash being sanctioned basically killed the main Ethereum privacy tool overnight. A lot of people moved to other mixers but most of them have the same fundamental problem, the base layer is still fully transparent.

Tornado cash is no longer sanctioned as of March 21, 2025. A federal court ordered them to remove it from the blacklist.
