For those of you interested in getting the Ritz-Carlton credit card, here has been my experience:
4/24/2025, applied and got approved for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless.
4/25/2026, called Chase on the number on the back of my Boundless card and requested a product change to the Ritz-Carlton card ($32.2K credit limit, need at least $10K to do the product change). They’ll enroll you in Priority Pass select over the phone if you choose to do so.
4/28/2026, noticed the 3 club-level upgrade certificates for the Ritz Carlton card and the 35K FNC from the Bonvoy Boundless in my Marriott account. Can confirm you still get the Boundless FNC even if you product change before it happens.
5/1/2026, received Priority Pass select documentation in the mail confirming my enrollment.
In addition, i used the $300 travel credit this morning for a seat upgrade I purchased at Delta on the card. The transaction was $397.50 and Chase was able to apply the credit for me over the phone with no hesitation by calling the number on the back of my Ritz card. They said the credit may take 1-2 billing cycles to post. Also, additional DP, the rep said that she has been advocating to get the credit to automatically apply, but apparently it’s due to some contractual agreement or something from when the Ritz Card was still open for applications that it must be redeemed via phone. The rep said she would rather it be automatic than having to manually apply it for people. I thought that was interesting.
I’ve only had the Ritz card for a week but so far I am quite enjoying it! The card itself is the key to get into Priority Pass lounges, it grants access to Sapphire Lounges, and next year i’ll have a 85K FNC to use. I think the card more than pays for itself if you can use all it has to offer. Also, it being a Visa Infinite card, the rental car primary insurance and 3X on rentals makes that category where I’ll apply my Ritz card the most, besides Marriott hotels.
Final DP, but not super important, I also had the Bonvoy Brilliant before I product changed to the Ritz, which is recommended because I believe you’re ineligible to apply for the Brilliant if you’ve held the Ritz card in the last 30 days.
Let me know what you all think or if you have any Ritz-specific questions.

I plan to do this next January. But why would I need both RC and Brilliant? To get 2 FNC? I have WoH so I get a free night on that one. Don’t both cards accrue Marriott points? What does Brilliant bring to the table?
