My concern is that when it comes to HFT, arbitrage across exchanges through bots, or any other short-time frame strategy – institutions would mostly be able to fk us retail traders. Has anyone successfully deployed any bots on these trading platforms?
I have been successful riding the volatility for the top few cryptos, entering and exiting in tranches based on my pre-determined optimal ranges. Crypto cycles are pretty short vs other asset classes and even riding vol with some patience makes you solid $$. And you rinse and repeat. But this strategy is longer-term in the world of trading with ranges pretty wide.
But I want to deploy some additional capital and experiment with other strategies that are short-term. Wouldn't know if I could squeeze out more until I try.
Thoughts or wisdom would be appreciated!
Bots for trading crypto on platforms like Kraken and Gemini – Is it even worth the effort for a Retail trader?

You’re going to hear from people who are kind enough to rent out their money printing bots for chump change. Obviously don’t listen
99% of any “bots” you are going to find online are absolute garbage that will take all of the money you “deploy” into them. They all mindlessly trade one strategy that will work in some stretches and then get utterly obliterated during others. Some are purposefully malicious and others are just completely unsophisticated to the point where it is literally better for your money to do nothing than be wood-chipped through them.
If you want passive money, park your money in Ethereum or Solana and just stake it.
