Hey everyone, fairly new to credit cards so I’m looking for some advice on a two card solution for the majority of my spending. I will be finishing my undergrad and joining the workforce so I want to get something with decent benefits while staying simple. Here’s my layout, let me know what you think:
Current cards: Discover Chrome for Students (only has a $1500 limit, will be phasing this one out)
FICO Score: 793
Oldest account age: 3 years, 9 months
Chase 5/24: 0/24
Income: $90,000 usd
Average monthly spending (guessing here since I’ll be moving to a new area):
– dining: 300
– groceries: 500
– gas: 300
– travel: 100
Open to business cards: no
Purpose of cards: one for cash back on high use categories (groceries, gas, etc.), one for travel points on all purchases
Cards I’ve looked at: Amex blue cash preferred, chase sapphire preferred
Okay with category spending: yes, but would prefer not rotating
Two card solution for <$100 USD AF?

just get the grocery one and the flat-rate travel card. literally the easiest combo and you get all the points
