I have a townhome that experienced water damage owing to a dishwasher leak. This occurred on March 25th. I made a claim immediately. About 3 weeks ago I received word from the insurer that coverage is confirmed, but that they were allocating responsibility with the condo insurer for interior items.
Late yesterday afternoon the adjuster reached out and said my claim was being transferred to a new adjuster.
My questions:
1) Should I be worried about this, or is this standard practice?
2) What is an acceptable amount of time to hear back? We really want to list this house this summer and are just waiting for the insurer to give the restoration company the thumbs up to move. So this is all slowing things down pretty substantially.
Thank you.
My claim got switched to a new adjuster – what is an acceptable timeline to hear back?

It happens cause claim got complicated, transfer, quit. The new adjuster should make a “hello” contact with you in a week. He/She probably got dumped a file cabinet of claims on their desk and need to triage it.
