started my journey in 2017, got wrecked twice by the stock that shall not be named in 2021 and 2024. Started DCAing and investing like a normal person at the start of 2025 and within about a years time i’ve managed to climb out of the hole. special thanks to $MU ❤️

      So you have $7000 in your account after 9 years? I think it’s time you got a job at Wendys

    2. It took you 10 years to recover $6800?

      Try Wendys, you’d have made a lot more.

      You just want to cry when you finally see that green $3.78 peaking above the line!

      You still owe capital gains tax so you’re net negative bud

      Can’t be called a comeback without a setback. Now sell everything, drive to a casino, and put it on black. Then once you win (because you will) you can say you doubled your money after 10 years in the market. Thank me later.

      Nice going, broh, I’ve just finished my 10th comeback into the green in 4 years, so I can kinda relate. 😂

      Absolutely atrocious results. You must have been insanely irresponsible.

    10. Just keep moving forward now. Try not too look back. I know I’m still climbing back but I still feel stained.

      At some point you have to consider the opportunity cost of that money just sitting there for 10 years, just to break even (not including inflation).

    12. Toxic nasty garbage people in this thread. Their friends and family failed them royally.

      Congrats OP. I’m sure it feels good to break even. Good luck moving forward.

      Actually, at an average inflation rate of 3%:

      (1.03)^10 == ~ 1.35
      1.03 ~ 1.35^(1/10)
      ~1.35-1
      ~ 35%

      You lost 35% of your original spending power. So you’ve a little ways towards green.
