Google has overtaken Nvidia.
On https://google.finance, after-hours data showed Google reached $399, a 4% increase compared to the close of trading. According to https://companiesmarketcap.com, Google and Nvidia were separated by $119 billion. So, Google gained 2.1%, and thus briefly surpassed Nvidia.
However, the rise to $399 is not during the trading session; it occurred after the close, so it could very well disappear when the stock markets open tomorrow.
So Google overtook Nvidia after the close with a share price of $399, but this isn't being recorded in many places because it's after the stock markets have closed, and it doesn't necessarily mean that Google will be ahead of Nvidia tomorrow. However, Google will almost certainly overtake Nvidia in the coming days, even if not tomorrow, because their recent performance is significantly superior to Nvidia's. Therefore, the 2% gap will be quickly closed if the post-session figures don't continue to improve tomorrow. The end of Nvidia's dominance is thus approaching, and Google will reclaim the top spot.
