I would be spending total of around $21500 on cruise + airline tickets in next 3 weeks. What should be my strategy to extract the most of it?
1) I have Chase Reserve which gives me 8x points on travel if booked on Chase travel portal. So thats around 172000 points. Prices on chase portal are same as other travel websites.
2) Apply for Costco Citi visa and use it to get around $1000 cash cards (cruise booking benefit) and 5% additional cashback ( 2% as I am executive and 3% on travel) if booked on Costco travel.
$14000 on cruise and $6500 on airline tickets..

You need to elaborate on the second option, 172K UR vs how much cashback?
Hands down the Amex Business Platinum (as high as) 300k points for $20k spend offer…if you can pull the offer itself.
Alternatively, consider a card that offers good travel insurance for a trip this speedy.
