I'm a recent immigrant only been in US for 9 months got my first credit card 5 months ago. Currently have 4 cards with good benefits (as far as I know). Currently have:
-
Wellsfargo active cash: 2% cashback, $2k limit
-
Capital one quicksilver: 1.5% cashback, $1k limit
-
Discover it cashback: 1% cashback, $2k limit
-
Amex delta skymiles blue: 1x miles, $2k limit
I don't know which cards to pursue at the moment or in the future. What benefits to look for. What should be my goal.
I don't travel alot. Bulk of my spending is rent, food, groceries and gas. Will earn around $35k this year. Spend about $1200 in rent and $1000 on all my cards combined every month. Pay all my cards in full. No debt. Paid cash for my car. Any help is appreciated.
21yo. Only 5 months of credit history

man you got 4 cards already in just 5 months, that’s actually solid progress for someone new to the system. your spending pattern seems pretty straightforward so those cashback cards make sense
i’d probably chill on new applications for bit and focus on building history with what you have. maybe use the wells fargo for everything since it’s 2% across board, and rotate the discover for whatever category they have at 5%. the amex delta one seems kinda useless if you don’t travel much tbh
your utilization looks good keeping it under 15% with that spending. once you hit year mark you’ll start seeing better approval odds for cards with higher limits or better rewards
