AMEX Explorer Australia Review

I’m currently using the American Express Essential Rewards Credit Card and recently got an invite to upgrade to the Explorer Card with 25000 Bonus Rewards Points. I want to know if it’s actually worth it.

Essential yearly fee $108,
Explorer is $395 though Explorer gives a $400 travel credit.

So is the upgrade actually worth it in real life?
Are the rewards/points significantly better on Explorer compared to Essential and any hidden downsides I should be aware of?

Would really appreciate some honest opinions from people who’ve used both.
