Stocks leapt and oil prices dropped on Wednesday after a report said the White House believed it was closing in on a memorandum to end the war with Iran, while momentum in AI-driven trades accelerated.

The report by news outlet Axios said the U.S. expected Iranian responses on several key points in the next 48 hours. A Pakistani source involved in the peace efforts confirmed the report to Reuters on Wednesday.

Brent Crude, the global benchmark, dropped 7.5% to $101.70 per barrel.

    1. Trump has achieved the best deal with Iran. No nucs, no hormuz blockage and no further war, a real GOAT president.

    2. At this point Trump needs the war to never end so he can end it every week to pump the market. Will be funny if it ever actually ends and that catalyst being removed causes the crash back to reality.

    3. Is it going to last longer than a day this time? Find out on tomorrow’s episode

    4. I mean dont get excited, the Cuba operation begins next and then who knows, I hear Greenland needs our help!

    5. Edward-Gentry on

Any Americans here care to speculate on the conditions in the deal that wouldn’t make it look like a humiliating defeat for the US domestically? I suspect, for the Iranians, that line would involve control over the Strait of Hormuz, rather than anything to do with their nuclear programme.

    6. Oh let me take a looksie on over to Al Jazeera to see if there’s any veracity to this…

What’s that? I ran won’t discuss the nuclear file in stage 1 of talks? Iran won’t give up tolling the Strait? They’re talking a 3-stage negotiation where the Strait has to reopen before we even get back to where negotiations where back in February?

I know there is posturing in negotiations, but I’m waiting to see either the U.S. or Iran actually give in on any of like 5 sticking points preventing a deal before I believe it.

    7. I’m starting to feel real FOMO as a bear.

But I’m not sure that’s a good thing for you bulls. Actually, this feeling is quite familiar. I wonder if my sister will text me soon asking if she should buy bitcoin.
