At his current wealth he could do it in forty years by investing in the S&P500

Global GDP in 2025 was about $118 Trillion, so he wants to control roughly 10% of that.
What could possibly go wrong.

His wealth is not real. None of the billionaires’ wealth is. They all get paid in stock shares, which they never have to sell. They take out loans using the shares they hold as collateral. So the shares are never exposed to the appraisal of the market. Also, holding that much value in shares lowers the liquidity of the ticker, meaning that anyone who wants to buy some needs to pay a higher price, thus driving the price of the shares and the “wealth” of the billionaire even higher. Another cute side effect of living like this is that since they don’t have to actually sell their shares to get real money, they never have to pay capital gains taxes.
Seems like it should be illegal to use stocks that you have insider information about as collateral for loans.

Exactly. It will never be enough for these star trek twats. We have to step in and tell them they’ve had enough.
