Comprehensive crash, choose to pick my own repair shop. $1000 deductible
My shop and progressive claims adjuster met and estimated $2200 total repair.
I received a direct deposit from insurance for $2200.
I paid the shop $2200, shop is happy.

Why was I sent $2200 and not $1200 from insurance company and how does this math for Progressive?
They said deductible not waived; I was told every step of the way that I was responsible for paying my own $1000 deductible.

Paid my deductible when I shouldn't have been?

Not sure and we won’t know. What did the adjuster say about this?

Depends on what it is for. For example I think there’s no deductible for windshield repair in Florida.

I have progressive and in my policy, I have a first time Comp endorsement where the deductible does not apply. This is only once, and for the first comp claim I would file. Could be that you have the same thing on your policy. You should ask for a copy and review what endorsements you have.
