Amex Gold SUB spend changes

Looks like Amex has increased the required spend for the Gold card to $8000 for upto 100k points in 6 months.

This change seems to have come into effect after April 30 and for Gold’s 60th anniversary after Amex updated some of the Gold’s benefits. This follows the increased spend requirement for the Platinum (8k to 12k) that went into effect earlier this year.
