I didn't take scholarships seriously until about 3 weeks ago. I was so focused on getting accepted into university that I kept telling myself I'd deal with scholarships later.

Now later is here, and I feel like I messed up. When I started looking, I realized a lot of the big deadlines had already passed. I kept seeing posts saying you should start months in advance, and that didn't help either.

Now I'm trying to find whatever is still open, but it feels like I'm working with limited options. I've found a few decent ones, but nowhere near as many as I probably could have if I had started earlier.

So now I am in this mindset of trying to catch up. I am applying to things more quickly, sometimes without thinking too much, just because I don't want to miss more deadlines. But that also makes me wonder if I am lowering the quality of my applications or applying to scholarships that aren't even a good fit.

It just feels rushed and a bit chaotic, like I am reacting instead of following a plan. I don't want to feel like I missed my chance just because I started late, but it is hard not to think that way.

For anyone who started late like this, is it still realistic to get meaningful scholarships, or did I put myself at a big disadvantage?

Started scholarship applications too late and now I'm struggling to catch up.
