I'm not sure what's going on, but I just got laid off from a corporate job after 10(!) weeks.
I'm in a really bad mental health space right now. I was unemployed for 6 months previously after getting laid off from my last job. I've had 6 jobs in 11 years, and I've been laid off three times. Either I'm the worst employee in history, or I just keep choosing the wrong employers.
This time, I'm ready to call it quits, and would love to get this sub's views on whether or not I can retire.
Net Worth: $3,657,362
- Assets: $4,373,550
- Cash: $185,334
- Investments: $3,122,396
- Rental Property Equity: $1,065,800
- Liabilities: $716,188
- Credit Card Balance (will pay off at end of month): $3,393
- Mortgage: $712,795
Rental property equity is iffy. Over the last two years it's averaged $7k/mo, but this year has been particularly bad. Let's say it's about $3k/mo going forward.
Spend: Not sure if I'm going to move, but let's just say $100k/yr (outside of expenses associated with the rental properties).
35M, no kids and no spouse. Don't plan on ever getting married.
Please evaluate if I can retire
