Space is slowly becoming an infrastructure business now. Governments and private companies are pouring billions into defense, communications, surveillance, satellite networks, and data systems, and Rocket Lab is trying to position itself right in the middle of that buildout.
What’s interesting is the market still can’t decide whether RKLB should trade like a speculative growth stock or a serious aerospace and defense company. The stock dropping 7% during regular hours then rebounding after earnings kind of shows that confusion in real time. A lot of people still see Rocket Lab as “just another space hype play,” but the backlog growth, launch contracts, satellite systems business, and Neutron development are starting to make the story much bigger than that.
The real question now is whether execution can keep up with how fast expectations and valuations are rising.
Is Rocket Lab Becoming More Than Just Another Space Stock?
