Honestly, building the product turned out to be the easy part.
Getting people to actually notice it has been much harder than I expected.
For people here who managed to break through with an app or SaaS product, what actually changed things for you?
Distribution? Positioning? Community? Influencers? Paid ads? SEO?
Or was it something completely unexpected?
Curious what finally made things start moving.
Building the app was easy. Getting users is brutal.

For me it was distribution, not product quality. A lot of good apps die because nobody sees them consistently enough to care.
The other thing I underestimated was how long it takes to find a channel that scales. I burned weeks on traffic sources that looked good on paper but converted terribly once real users hit the funnel.
