Help. Help. I am FREAKING out. I have multiple credit cards. One Apple, Discover student card and a BOA credit card. I got the Capital One Venture One card thinking it would be perfect for traveling through Europe only to realize it was a Discover card. It was the main card I was planning on using and I’m freaking out that it won’t work. Any advice?
Just got a Capitol One Venture One card without realizing it was on the Discover network. Going to Europe in less than a week.

Yeah take your other cards
What’s wrong with using your Apple card? You actually get better rewards and nearly everything is contactless.
No need to FREAK out. Use your Apple card.
Discover does work once in a while, depends on the merchant. Try the discover card first, and if it fails, get your apple card out.
FWIW I was able to use my Cap1 360 debit card in the BBVA bank branch ATM in Madrid last month, and it worked fine. No transaction fee was nice as well. (do the withdraw in Euros, do NOT pick the option to let the atm convert euros to dollars.)
It’s always a good idea to have several cards when traveling, specifically cards from different banks. If your bank flags you for fraud and locks the account, you can still pay for dinner with a different card at a different bank while you get things sorted out.
Apple Card gives you 2% with Apple Pay which is widely accepted in Europe. Physical card is 1%. Don’t worry.
Discover is also a Dinner Club which is big in Europe, Small city maybe a problem, big cities you will be fine.
