Trying to learn more about Bitcoin lately and curious what made it finally click for other people beyond just price and hype.

Was it something you read, a real-life use case, moving money yourself, or just spending more time around the space?

Feels like a lot of beginners first see Bitcoin as just another risky asset, then later start understanding why people care so much about self-custody, scarcity, and moving value independently.

At what point did Bitcoin start making sense to you?

The Bitcoin Standard really did it for me.

Learning about how corrupt our current financial system is at a base level pushed me further into Bitcoin as a truly scarce and trustless form of money.

Before reading that book I was into “crypto” and lumped Bitcoin in with all the shitcoins. The Bitcoin Standard helped change my mindset to Bitcoin-only.

It’s was cumulative. Hours of podcasts and YouTube videos and audiobooks. Just all kinda came together. The narrative around Bitcoin only vs shitcoins. Money printing. “The Internet of Money” lecture by Andreas about how systems build and grow from a base layer. All dawned on me over the course of maybe a year. Fundamental change in thinking about Bitcoin after all that.
