My question is, is it worth it right now with no rent/mortgage, but the future will have one. I keep seeing that’s it’s effectively 3.33x back as an everyday spend card. Mixed with all the protections and great transfer partners. Really looking to add this one to my growing collection. My lineup would be the palladium and csp, and hopefully add a luxury card.
Is the Bilt Palladium worth if you don’t have rent/mortgage currently

The transfer partners alone make it pretty solid even without rent payments right now. If you’re planning to have rent/mortgage soon anyway, might as well get in the system early since there’s no annual fee to worry about
Just keep in mind the earning rate is lower without that rent multiplier, but still decent for a no-fee card
Without rent it’s basically a 3x card (up to $25k per year) with good partners. You can get more value if you use the credits.
Short answer: Yes, it’s basically a Venture X with somewhat harder to use hotel credits but a much better points ecosystem. Their customer support is trash, though.
Longer answer: It’s not 3.33x back without rent/mortgage, but you can use your Bilt Cash to buy points boosts to get 3x back on your first $25k/yr in spend, then 2x after that.
Once you have a housing payment, you can set it up through the Bilt portal and stop activating points boosts and it becomes 3.33x up to 75% of your monthly housing payment. It’s all pretty complicated, but that’s about the simplest I can explain it.
Last thing, their support is bottom tier for a credit card company, and that might even be a bit generous. They launched a half baked product and didn’t staff for it, leading to a ton of customer complaints. It’s slowly getting better, but it’s still not good.
I think not unless you really love juggling credits and micromanaging your account. But if that sounds fun to you then go for it.
The sign up bonus justifies it for the first year especially if you can use at least one of the hotel credits.
Long term if you don’t care about lounge access I think Obsidian is more of a keeper. Get CSP for dining and Obsidian for grocery.
It is if you can figure out something to do with the bilt cash
