Feeling premium of course means you need to spend money. Are services in real life free? But it is only a few hundred dollars a year in annual fees, so you dont need a “crazy salary”

Is it important that it “feels” premium? I’d focus on how you already spend your money and how well the benefits of a card match that.

Robinhood Gold for sure. Physical card is very premium feeling and gets compliments, the app is buttery smooth and nice. Would’ve said the AmEx Amazon Prime Business but that was recently discontinued. I don’t have these but Bilt Blue, Gemini, and Chime Prime are all $0 AF metal cards that look nice.

The Capital One Venture X. Heavy metal card, lounge access, 2x everywhere, and the whole fee can be easily offset.

The Apple Card kinda does. Though I never really use mine anymore.

It’s a travel card, and pretty much all credit cards perceived as premium are travel cards. It has no annual fee, and unlike most other no annual fee travel cards, it doesn’t suck. It has good categories and full access to travel partners. The Citi Strata is a good earning card, but transfer ratios are reduced. Capital One VentureOne allows full transfer, but has poor earning.

I mean it totally depends on your use.
The platinum is considered a premium card but has a crazy high fee for most people.
However some mid level traveling consultant living in a large city could organically use most of the credits and be getting reimbursed for airline travel making it a solid value.
On the other hand I live in a rural part of the state where most of the credits are useless so even though I make plenty of money to just ignore the fee the card makes no sense.
TLDR salary really has nothing to do with it

I really like the feel of Bank of America Premium Rewards. It sits in between the cheap and flimsy 5-6g cards and 16-18g heavy and stiff. I believe it weights 10-11g. It is sturdy enough to give premium feel, but also has some flex, unless Apple Card or Smartly (at least original Smartly) which are very rigid and personally, dont like the very hard cards.
When it comes to noises, nothing beats Apple Card. It is in a league on its own.

You don’t need a crazy salary for any of them.
But you need to have the lifestyle to make it worth paying the annual fee.
A lot of premium card holders typically lose money or overspend to justify holding their premium cards.
