I use this plastic bucket to fill my mini washer. (Uses about 1/3 the account of water a large machine does). Lately I noticed that any water left in it for a few minutes would seem to be leaking. Today I found the crack on the bottom. Is there a way to repair it so it doesn't leak? I'd rather not have to replace it and I'm tired of doing water all over the edge of my bathtub when I'm filling the washer.

I presume you could heat weld it.
superglue and baking soda?
Probably could use some waterproof epoxy or marine caulk/sealant.
Flex seal
From the outside, add a few drops of super glue, then some baking soda. The baking soda hardens the super glue instantly. It’s actually sandable, too. You can also build layers of this. This is absolutely not food safe, though. It’d probably be more economical to ask for an icing bucket from the bakery next time you’re at Walmart or wherever. They’re usually 3 gallon and they typically will give them to you for free. Or using a clean cat litter bucket is another option.
Put duct tape on the interior side on the crack
So sorry my mind immediately went to Harry Belafonte!
I had that issue with a new humidifier that leaked along the bottom. I used a clean, safe version of silicone sealer and smoothed it out with my fingers. Been good for a year now.
I think you need to call Lyza
Is this frugal jerk? Buckets are so cheap…. Use an old gallon water bottle or milk jug or something. Or out a bag in it
The repair needs to be flexible.
Super glue will not last. It doesn’t bond well to that kind of plastic and is brittle.
Most tapes will work for a LONG time, especially if you don’t use hot water or soap in the bucket. Apply to clean, dry inner surface. The weight of the water will keep it in place.
I like Scotch tape or good packing tape, but it may not be noticed when it fails.
Duct tape would be more obvious.
Most likely no as plastic degrades and embrittled over time, especially when exposed to sunlight.
This looks like it’s on its last legs.
Use a soldering iron to make a heat weld
Throw a thik plastic bag in it, you’re welcome
Heat gun…carefully
i’ll send you a dollar
Might be able to do it with a lighter. Could easilly make it worse if you aren’t careful though
Mend it dear Georgie
Prob cheaper to just buy a new bucket
