Hi there …. Had a 4 point inspection by co hired by Citizen's. They had notes and wanted me to replace a sub-panel (electrical) and provide receipts for 2 new toilets installed which I did all of that. Now Citizen's is refusing to re-insure. Is there a right of appeal for that? Citizen's didn't insist my older but in perfect working condition hot water heater be replaced. I'm now looking for any insurer underwriting in Florida that doesn't require a new hot water heater. I'm deliberating re: a post 4 yrs ago that suggested if your hot water heater does break the ins co may have a rider that states it won't cover any damage caused by the hot water heater which I'm presuming (1st time home owner with no parents to advise me) might/would cost more than a new hot water heater ($800 – $1,000 ???) + installation ($300 – $400). More complicated now than ever. Thank you.
