So I was approved for a studio and I’m set to move in a couple weeks. I haven’t signed my lease yet. However, I was on their website and I saw a one bedroom that is $400 more than my studio. I was thinking I could possibly get a two months off special that they have going on if I switch to the one bedroom. If I do, the price works out to be around the same as the studio. My only thing is, I don’t plan to move after one year if everything goes well but the rent increase on the one bedroom might make me wish I stayed with the studio. What should I do?

Would your utilities also be higher for the larger space? That’s an ongoing cost.
If you’re already this worried about it just stay with the studio. No sense stressing yourself out about it. If you eventually decide you want a bigger apartment just wait for someone to move out and talk to your landlord/super.
30% of your income should go to housing.
I’ve lived in both a studio and one bedroom apartment. If you can afford it choose the one bedroom. Having a separate living room and bedroom is amazing. I hated spending all my time in a single space in the studio.
Depends how satisfied you are living in a studio! Is it a good size to clean? Personally I wouldn’t like cleaning more than ~650 sq ft 🤷🏼♀️
