I need a firmer/harder not soft bed.
I just need better body support. This is the only thing left I can change. Im also in physical therapy right now.
Any advice on buying a mattress would love to know pretty please.
Ideally something not made with potentially bad material I am not a super healthy person so am concerned about inhaling things.
Btw there exists medical pillows can buy I use those I found out so late.
Am I right that it's usually better to buy a mattress from a in person store to feel it than online?

I think *you*, specifically, should buy a mattress in person, coming from a fellow ill person. Arguably not everyone needs to, and because I need softer (pretty much as soft as it gets) mattresses, I just buy affordable ish near lowest price from Costco online. I’ve gotten the same one twice (not because it wore out but complicated moving situations). But Costco does have some testers in store, worth checking out.
I do think that you can order online to try to spend less money. But you need to have a trial period/free and easy returns. Whatever that means to you, depending on what you physically can handle, as it sounds like you’re recovering from an injury or chronically ill. Free returns doesn’t always mean easy returns with something of that size.
Also don’t sleep on mattress toppers. (Do, just don’t “sleep on” the concept.)
Best of luck, fellow Goldilocks.
What kind of psychopath maniac is just at home ordering a bed online without laying on it to see if it’s right ?
The people that do that need to be studied and observed.
Definitely in store where you can try out the various matresses.
I highly recommend checking out the sleep number bed. My husband needs a very firm bed, I need it to be softer. This bed allows us both to get great sleep. Memorial day sales will be coming soon. They have many stores where you can test the beds and learn more about them!
100%. Mattresses are one of those things where your body knows within 2 minutes if it’s wrong. Especially if you need firm support, laying on it in person matters way more than specs online.
