Based out of Chicago. I currently have a CFF that I’ve had for 1 year and I’m due for another card. Right now there’s an in branch offer on the CFU that gets 5% gas and groceries for the first year. Chase has the better transfer partners for me (United/AA) but I know C1 is easier to manage and gets better multipliers + a better eff AF. Thoughts?
5% CFU, CSP, or pivot to C1 Duo?

Chase does not have AA as a transfer partner. AA is exclusive to Citi, and Citi has better multipliers and transfer partners than Capital One. My only concern is the upcoming refresh for Strata Premier, which is probably going to be a nerf.
Chase also has great transfer partners, but because their multipliers suck, you have to play their game. When the CFU has the 5% groceries and gas multipliers, that’s the time to get it, but since it only lasts a year, it mostly belongs in the sock drawer after that. The best Chase cards for earning points are the CFF and Ink Cash.
