I hit something with my car, which caused a small, tiny crack in the grill, and a couple of very very small paint chips.
It's not even noticeable at ALL.
I went directly to the body shop who said I need a new bumper and grill and all kinds of other stuff I don't remember the names of. Casings maybe. Whatever surrounds the headlights.
They aren't damaged, so i'm assuming they have to be replaced if the bumper is.
I am gutted at the amount. I have a thousand dollar deductible because I normally don't do stupid things 😉.
I don't want to pay a thousand dollars for it to be perfect!
I was going to at first because I asked her if it's going to worsen being left alone and she said yes… But she could just be trying to sell body work.
I don't know, but can I just leave it and see?
How long do I have to decide whether I want to pony up 1k?
I filed a claim with state farm, but I don't really want to repair the damage right now.

You can withdraw the claim and not have it repaired. You also shouldn’t file claims for damage you can’t notice “at all” to begin with.
