Hello all! First and foremost this advice isn’t for me but rather for my girlfriend as we’re stuck on what to do next. To keep it short, she does not come from a place of wealth and is looking to join this law school program where she will take two classes in 8 weeks, have a month break, and then attend regular law school. According to the resources she has, and from what we have heard, it’s practically impossible to work your first year of law school and succeed as you practically need to spend all your free time into studying. She just applied for FASFA to cover the actual law school / 8 week program, but in terms of living like rent, car, phone bill, all of the extras that aren’t directly school related, what are our / her options? Ofc a regular personal loan may cover these things but you typically need to start paying those back within a month and obviously she can’t be doing that if she won’t be working so do we have any options from here? I want to help as much as possible but the school she’ll be going to will be about 3 or so hours away from me so theirs only so much I can do. I have no experience with these kind of loans / approaches to take as I’ve never been to any kind of collage. Any help / sense of direction would be extremely helpful as she essentially has to have this completely figured out within the next 2 days.
