I was notified in December(ish) my TPD was approved and all my loans are zeroed out. I am due a refund and confirmed with Mohela they sent it to DeptEd on Jan 30, 2026 to be processed. I’m still waiting for the check as of May 11, 2026. Does anyone know how long it takes? I’m hearing upwards of 120 days or more. I’ve also heard 10 days. TPD was approved due to 100% VA P&T and is backdated to the day my P&T was decided. I’m just getting frustrated. Thanks everyone.

120 days sounds more realistic
The “10 days” thing almost never seems to happen with government processing unfortunately. A few months honestly sounds more realistic, especially since it has to go through both Mohela and DeptEd. I’d be frustrated too waiting that long though.
