Eh to me that 3-6 months is a terrible timeline for options. You’re paying a lot of money for a short time in which its not likely much will happen outside of a swan like major announcement. If I feel like gambling Ill stick to a month or less and pay way less premium. If Im going LONG, its a year minimum to make paying the premium actually worth it.

If an option isn’t looking very good, I always dump it with two months to go. Because then that’s when the decay starts to really kill you.
