So i used to work as their senior designer, for four years i gave that place everything.
every late night, every difficult client, every project that actually mattered. I built brands that those clients are still using today, including logos and full identity work.
six months in, they hired this new guy, nice enough. He did the bare minimum, but he knew how to talk in meetings.
one day, the CEO stood up in front of the whole office and praised him for a campaign i built from scratch. He didn’t mention my name once.
i handed in my resignation the next morning.
I didn’t ragwe quit, on my way out the CEO said "you'll regret this."
im a logo and brand identity designer, i went solo and built my client base from nothing. slower money, but it's mine, so now he's calling and wants me back, he is offering the same salary i left on.
i make less right now if im being honest, but i dont think money is the only thing here.
what would you do.
went invisible for four years and as soon as i quit my old boss wants me back.

what else you expecting besides a pat on the back?
what would you do? nothing u already did it. u worked 4 years or 6 months? is not clear.
Learn from this. I am the same too, introverts people DONT WANT to be noticed However, you must make sure everything is documented, mark who did what.
Never work overtime of not paid and if you dont want to.
Learn other skills Branding hardly pays now with AI. as anyone can do any design now you must find a way to standout better than AI.
Offer to come back part time at 1.5x or 2x your previous rate. They’ll probably say no, but that’s ok they sound kinda shit
Why not see if they’ll be a client? If you enjoy being your own boss. You’ll work for them on a contract basis. Build out your resume and get some more income coming in.
