Today, I got the Ollo Select Rewards replacement card for the Ally Everyday Cash Back Mastercard because Ally sold out their credit card business again.

When I was on the main Ollo website, I noticed that there were no Unlimited 2% Credit Cards. Ally used to have Unlimited 2% Cashback No FTF No Annual Fee Credit Cards for regular users, for Nurses, and for Educators.

There is an archive of the Ally website with information regarding their credit card division before they sold it:

The Ollo replacement card also came with the following promotional words:

"Same benefits, same cash back: Earn unlimited cash back on all your purchases with no expiration dates."

I think the above phrase would not be applicable for previous holders of the Ally Unlimited Cash Back Mastercard series, since the Ollo Everyday Rewards/Rewards+ don't have unlimited no-category 2% cashback.

The reward terms of the Ollo Everyday Rewards/Rewards+ are as follows:

    • 3% at gas stations
    • 3% at public EV chargers
    • 3% at grocery stores
    • 3% at drug stores
    • 1% for all other purchases

Imo, the presence of categories completely voids the original purpose of the original 2% no-frills Ally credit card.

If you were a previous holder of the 2% Ally Unlimited Cashback Mastercard series, did you actually receive a downgrade on your reward terms?

I also find it ironically fitting that the ollo logo looks close to and is just a little mark away from becoming a phallic symbol.

Did the Ally Unlimited 2% Cashback No FTF Cards Get Canned by Ollo?

I remember the old Ally 2% card, and yes it was indeed canned. Never got it because it was invitation only and I ended up closing my Ally account before they ever decided to send me a mailer for it. Had no sign-up bonus anyways, there are some better 2% cards out there with no AF and no FTF. Pick one from the Fidelity Rewards, PNC Cash Unlimited, Navy Federal cashRewards+, or BCU Cash Rewards.
