Could you live without the news if you didn’t trade stocks?

Nothing really changes, except higher prices in supermarkets, or seeing more people on the streets. you don’t need the newspaper to tell you it’s a recession right? The price mechanism would suggest how the economy is doing, as well as the closing stores around you. the only thing you really need the newspaper for, is for alerts, time changes, etc. Interesting thought I had
