Posting this in behalf of my boyfriend!

Hey everyone! I'm 23, first time car owner in East Lansing, clean record, 2016 Impala, PIP opted out via QHC, almost 3 y/o license, good grades. Trying to decide on coverage levels. What are you carrying and what are you paying monthly?

Specifically: what liability limits (50/100 vs 100/300), deductibles ($500 vs $1000 on comp/collision), and do you bother with uninsured motorist in MI? Any such details or company/broker recs welcome! Thanks!

Insurance premiums are as unique as fingerprints. You’ll have to quote to see what you’ll be paying. 50/100 in minimum limits in Michigan. uninsured/underinsured motorists is something I would always recommend. Reach out to an independent agent in your area that has good reviews. Also make sure you ask about the Collision deductible you’ll want to make sure it’s standard. Have them go into details for each coverage.
