I was in a car accident on January 17th. It was the other drivers fault, he was given a ticket, didn’t object to anything. Wasn’t a massive wreck but my car does have some decent damage.
I filed a claim with my insurance, progressive, and since I don’t have collision, they filed a claim for me with the other insurance company, First Acceptance.
Since then First Acceptance had me submit photos…but that’s it. Apparently the driver of the vehicle wasn’t listed on the cars insurance. All they’ve told me is they’re investigating. And they’ve been “investigating” for months. Now I haven’t heard from the agent assigned to my case in more than a month. I had to reach out to every First Acceptance email I could find to get a response at all and still got the same “we hope to have an update soon, we’re still investigating” response.
I’m not sure what to do. I tried some local lawyers who said they were only interested in injury cases, but I wasn’t injured. My insurance agent tried reaching out, also got nothing.
Is there anything else I can do? Are there specific lawyers that help with this kind of thing?
