    1. “The share who would cover a $400 emergency expense using cash or its equivalent also remained unchanged from 2024 at 63 percent.”

I have to believe that most emergency expenses are generally more expensive than this in 2026. Does anyone know where, or how often, this number is adjusted? Also, only 63% say they can cover this, to me that seems pretty awful.

they say things r fine but everything still costs way too much lol. these reports never feel like what people r actually going through. rent and food r still crazy high tbh

I have to question the accuracy of a statistic that basically claims only 37% of Americans have $400 or more saved in cash or its equivalent. Go ahead and flame away at me for doubting this one claim, but ask yourself how absurd you think that claim is.

That’s scary, 42% of people worried about jobs *before the war* , feels like they put this out to signal a rate cut, which would be absurdly dumb at this point given inflation rates.
