MOHELA recertification approved but not processed ?

I am currently in PAYE with a July 16 recertification date. On February 20, they auto submitted my IDR recertification and I was placed on a forbearance. On March 20 , after sending a secure message to MOHELA I was told "your application for PAYE has been approved with a 0.00 payment" (it's what I expected).

They followed up in March 24 in response to another inquiry saying my first monthly payment will be July 19 2026, as expected. And that id get a letter soon. I was taken off forbearance and put on my normal plan.

I called a couple weeks ago after not receiving any letter and the system not showing my updated info and they said it has been "approved but not processed yet" whatever that means.

It's been 2 months and there's 2 months till my recert deadline hits. I filed a complaint with CFPB to hopefully get the case addressed.

Is this fact pattern happening to others ? Any thoughts or suggestions on what to do ?
